7 Brew Bel Air: Plans for a Drive-Thru on Churchville Road (Rt. 22)

7 Brew has filed plans to build a drive-thru coffee stand at 1216 Churchville Road (Rt. 22) in Bel Air, where a Pizza Hut sits today. As of Oct. 24, 2026, I can't find a final approval, a building permit or an opening date, so treat this one as planned, not confirmed.

Three things are on the record:

1. A public meeting happened. On Oct. 29, 2025, the project engineer showed neighbors the plan at a county community input meeting at the Bel Air library. He said the current use is a Pizza Hut and the proposed use is a 7 Brew with drive-thru lanes.
2. The county reviewed the plan. Harford County's Development Advisory Committee had it on the Dec. 3, 2025 agenda. The plan, called "7 Brew Coffee, Bel Air North," was filed by 7BC of Maryland, the local 7 Brew franchise group.
3. Local news reported it. In March 2026, the Baltimore Sun's Harford coverage listed the Churchville Road site as one of the new drive-thrus 7 Brew had applied for in Harford County.

What's not confirmed yet

• A final county approval
• A building permit
• A start date for construction
• An opening date

7 Brew's own Maryland page lists Abingdon and Edgewood, but not Bel Air yet. I'll update this post as soon as any of that changes.

One more thing: Pizza Hut's website still lists the 1216 Churchville Road location with hours. If you're craving a pizza, check with them before you go.

What the plan looks like

Here's what the engineer described at the October 2025 meeting, based on the county's transcript:

• Two drive-thru lanes, with room for about 13 cars in line
• No order boards. Staff walk up and take your order on a tablet, like many busy chicken drive-thrus
• A walk-up window and a couple of outdoor tables, with no indoor seating
• Drinks only. Coffee, shakes, energy drinks and smoothies, with no food
• Same entrances as today, off Rt. 22 and Moores Mill Road
• More green space than the lot has now, plus landscaping

Plans can change during county review, so think of this as a first look.

Where can you get 7 Brew in Harford County now?

Two stands are already open:

• Abingdon: 2912 Emmorton Road, the first one in Maryland
• Edgewood: 1807 Pulaski Highway, which I covered in my post on 7 Brew opening in Edgewood

If the Bel Air stand gets built, folks in north Bel Air, Forest Hill, Churchville and Jarrettsville would get one much closer to home. That's a lot of morning drives that just got easier.
