Election Day in Harford County is Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. You must vote at your assigned polling place (look it up with the state Voter Look-up). Early voting ran Oct. 22-29 and is over. Mail-in ballots can go in any Harford drop box until 8 p.m. Nov. 3 or be postmarked by Nov. 3.

When are the polls open in Harford County?

  • Day: Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026
  • Hours: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • In line at 8? Stay in line. The state says anyone in line at 8 p.m. gets to vote.
  • Where: Only at your assigned polling place

The state says the best time to vote on Election Day is between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

How to find your Harford County polling place

On Election Day, you can't just go anywhere. You have to vote at the polling place tied to your home address.

Here's how to find it in 1 minute:

  1. Go to the state's Voter Look-up.
  2. Type your name, birth date and ZIP code.
  3. It shows your polling place. It can also show your sample ballot.

You can also use the county's Where to Vote page.

Heads up: The 4 early voting centers (Bel Air, Edgewood, Havre de Grace and Jarrettsville) are not Election Day sites for everyone. Only go there on Nov. 3 if the Voter Look-up says it's your polling place.

Not registered? You can still register and vote on Election Day at your polling place. Bring a document that proves where you live, like your MVA license or ID card, or a bill, bank statement or paycheck with your address.

Moved lately? If you moved and didn't update your address, you may have to vote a provisional ballot. The state says your votes still count as long as you fill out and sign the provisional ballot form.

Ballot drop box locations in Harford County

All 5 drop boxes take mail-in ballots until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Drop box Address Directions
Aberdeen Activity Center (Aberdeen Senior Center) 7 Franklin Street, Aberdeen, MD 21001 Map
Edgewood Recreation Center 1980 Brookside Drive, Edgewood, MD 21040 Map
Harford County Board of Elections office 133 Industry Lane, Forest Hill, MD 21050 Map
Jarrettsville Fire Hall (Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company) 3825 Federal Hill Road, Jarrettsville, MD 21084 Map
McFaul Activity Center 525 W. MacPhail Road, Bel Air, MD 21014 Map

Havre de Grace doesn't have a drop box on the list. Aberdeen is the closest one. The county says its drop boxes are under 24/7 video watch.

Mail-in ballots: how to get yours counted

Already have your mail-in ballot? Pick one way to return it:

  1. Drop box: Any box above, by 8 p.m. Nov. 3.
  2. Board of Elections: Hand it in at 133 Industry Lane, Forest Hill, by 8 p.m. Nov. 3.
  3. Mail: It must be postmarked on or before Nov. 3. A mailbox drop on Election Day might not get that day's postmark, so a drop box is safer this late.

Sign the oath on the envelope before you return it. Got a mail-in ballot but want to vote in person? You can, but you'll vote a provisional ballot.

Still need a mail-in ballot? The state's vote page lists Friday, Oct. 30 as the last day to ask for an emailed ballot online. (An earlier state notice said Oct. 29, so don't count on it.) The county says you can also apply in person at the Board of Elections office until 8 p.m. Nov. 3. Confirm before you go. Honestly, if it's this late, voting in person on Nov. 3 is the simpler move.

Election night results

Results post on harfordvotes.gov on election night, after the polls close at 8 p.m. Those first numbers are unofficial. Mail-in and provisional ballots keep getting counted in the days after Nov. 3, so totals can change.

Early voting (Oct. 22-29, now closed)

Early voting in Harford County ran Thursday, Oct. 22 through Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day. It's over. If you didn't vote early or by mail, vote on Nov. 3 at your polling place.

For the record, the 4 early voting centers were:

  • McFaul Activity Center, 525 W. MacPhail Road, Bel Air
  • Edgewood Recreation Center, 1980 Brookside Drive, Edgewood
  • Havre de Grace Activity Center, 351 Lewis Lane, Havre de Grace
  • Jarrettsville Fire Hall, 3825 Federal Hill Road, Jarrettsville

If you already voted early or your mail-in ballot is in, you're done. You can't vote again on Nov. 3.

Quick Election Day checklist

  1. Look up your polling place before you leave home.
  2. Check your sample ballot so nothing surprises you.
  3. Not registered? Bring proof of where you live.
  4. Mail-in ballot still on the counter? Take it to a drop box by 8 p.m.
  5. In line at 8 p.m.? Stay put. You still get to vote.

The only line I like is a short one at the polls. Go mid-day if you can.
