The 2026 theme: The Liberty Express

This year's maze is called The Liberty Express. It's 6 acres with more than 2 miles of paths. Plan on about an hour to get through. Big groups can take up to an hour and a half. If little legs give out, there are marked "quick exits" along the way.

The paths are about 8 feet wide and mostly flat, so strollers and wheelchairs work. After rain, it gets muddy. Call ahead if it's been wet.

What your ticket gets you

This is where Beachmont stands out. One ticket covers a lot more than the maze:

  • One ride on the "Extreme" Hayride
  • An inflatable obstacle course and a new bounce house
  • Mountain slides and a tire pyramid slide
  • Pebble Beach play box and an imaginative play area
  • Games: Football Follies, baseball throw, basketball challenge, corn bag toss and a giant ball slinger
  • Evening bonfires (s'mores are extra)
  • Fall photo spots

Some of these run only if the weather and ground allow. See the full list on Beachmont's activities page.

Kids riding a big outdoor slide at a fall farm festival
Beachmont's ticket includes slides, an obstacle course and more, not just the maze. This photo is from Butler's Orchard in Germantown, Md., not Beachmont or Harford County.

Food

There's a concession stand with burgers, hot dogs, soft pretzels, soft serve, fresh cookies, hot chocolate and apple cider. Outside food and drinks aren't allowed, except for babies, toddlers and diet needs.

Rules that surprise people

Read these before you go. Breaking them ends your visit with no refund.

  1. Kids need an adult. Ages 15 and under must have an adult 18 or older with them. One adult for every 6 kids. You can't drop teens off.
  2. No scary costumes. Beachmont asks for family-friendly clothes, nothing scary or gory. Masks and full face paint are not allowed. Keep that in mind on Halloween night.
  3. No pets. Service animals only.
  4. No backpacks or big bags. Diaper bags are fine.
  5. No running in the maze. Stay on the paths and don't touch the corn or the tape.
  6. Sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.

Does it close for rain?

Not always. Beachmont stays open in the rain as long as the paths are safe. Some rides may not run. If they do close, they post it on the banner at the top of their website.

How Beachmont compares

If you want a shorter, cheaper farm maze inside Harford County, Brad's in Churchville is $7.50 and Jones Family Farm in Edgewood has a kid-friendly scavenger hunt maze. Each place is a little different, and they're all worth a trip. I list them all in my Harford County corn maze guide. Need pumpkins too? Check my pumpkin patch list for this week.

Beachmont's big plus is the night hours. It's one of the few mazes around here open until 10 p.m., and it runs a week past Halloween.
