Harford County corn mazes

Brad's Farm Market, Churchville

Brad's is at 550 Asbury Rd. Its maze this year has a Rock & Roll theme, and it's run with Maize Quest. Kids get "Maize-o-Vision" decoders to help find the way, and little ones get a straw maze.

  • Price: $7.50 per person, ages 4 and up. Ages 3 and under are free. Groups of 25 or more pay $6.50 with advance sign-up.
  • Hours: Brad's says the maze runs daily during business hours. The market is open Mon. to Sat. 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sun. 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. One listing shows the maze at 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, so aim for that window. Last ticket is sold one hour before closing.
  • Last day: Brad's lists it two ways: Fri. Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. and Sat. Oct. 31 at 2 p.m. Call (410) 734-4769 before you plan a Halloween trip.
  • Bonus: Sunday, Oct. 25 is the last day of free hayrides to their U-pick pumpkins. See my pumpkin patch guide.

Jones Family Farm, Edgewood and Street

The Jones corn "maize" has a scavenger hunt with a prize at the end. That makes it a good fit for younger kids who might get bored in a big maze.

  • Edgewood: 2100 Philadelphia Rd. Open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Oct. 31. Weekend hayrides go out to the maze and U-pick patch, noon to 4 p.m.
  • Street: 3500 Prospect Rd. (Rt. 543). Maze and U-pick, Thursday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Rain rule: The field closes in the rain. Call 410-676-3709 first.

Living near Edgewood or Joppa? This is the closest maze to you.

Falling Branch Farm & Brewery, Street

The Falling Branch maze is free and easy, made for all ages. PumpkinFest ends Sunday, Oct. 25 (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.). The maze and pumpkin patch are also open Fridays in October, 1 to 6 p.m., so Friday, Oct. 30 should work too. Confirm before you go: check with the host before heading out. 825 Highland Rd., Street. (443) 939-4605.

FarmFinity at Stone View Farm, Darlington

FarmFinity has a fall corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayrides and animals at 3201 Deths Ford Rd. I could not find this week's maze hours posted. They do have a Trick or Treat event on Oct. 31, noon to 5 p.m. Confirm before you go: check with the host before heading out. (667) 415-3221.
