Harford County Home Prices by ZIP Code: Q3 2026 (Bel Air, Abingdon, Havre de Grace and More)

by Josh Tessier

In Q3 2026 (July through September), the typical Harford County home sold for about $560,000 in Fallston and about $272,000 in Edgewood. Bel Air, Forest Hill, Havre de Grace, Aberdeen and Abingdon landed in between. I checked Redfin sale medians and Zillow typical values for the same ZIP codes through September.

Sale prices rose in both Bel Air ZIP codes and in Edgewood. They fell in Abingdon and Aberdeen. Forest Hill, Fallston and Havre de Grace were mixed depending on the source. Homes took longer to sell in most of these ZIP codes than a year ago. And the 30-year mortgage rate was 7.18% in Freddie Mac's Nov. 5, 2026 survey.

What were home prices in each Harford County ZIP in Q3 2026?

Here's the quick version. Redfin's number is the median sale price for the three months ending September 2026 (July through September). Zillow's number is the typical home value (ZHVI) as of Sept. 30, 2026. They measure different things, so I show both.

Town (ZIP) Redfin median sale (3 mo ending Sep 2026) Sale price vs. a year ago Zillow typical value (Sep 30, 2026) Value vs. a year ago
Fallston (21047) $559,960 Down 3.2% $563,050 Up 1.8%
Bel Air (21015) $474,860 Up 5.5% $479,102 Up 0.8%
Forest Hill (21050) $467,863 About flat $500,243 Up 1.6%
Bel Air (21014) $454,866 Up 6.3% $445,033 Up 1%
Havre de Grace (21078) $418,872 Up 2.2% $404,556 Up 0.6%
Aberdeen (21001) $367,892 Down 2.9% $344,379 About flat
Abingdon (21009) $349,897 Down 6.7% $370,272 About flat
Edgewood (21040) $271,920 Up 1.3% $261,845 About flat

What the columns mean:

  • Redfin median sale: Closed sales in that ZIP for July, August and September 2026. One odd sale doesn't swing a three-month median as much as a single month.
  • Zillow typical value: Zillow's ZHVI estimate for a mid-tier home in that ZIP on Sept. 30, 2026. It is not a sale price.
  • County view: For Harford County in September 2026 alone, Bright MLS put the median sale price at $403,495, up 2.2%. Redfin's county median for the three months ending September was $399,107, about flat. I covered the county picture in my Harford County housing market update.

Which Harford ZIP codes went up in price, and which went down?

Up on Redfin sale prices: Bel Air 21014 (+6.3%), Bel Air 21015 (+5.5%), Havre de Grace (+2.2%) and Edgewood (+1.3%).

Down on Redfin sale prices: Abingdon (-6.7%), Fallston (-3.2%) and Aberdeen (-2.9%). Forest Hill was about flat (-0.45%).

Zillow's typical values were quieter. Most ZIP codes were up about 1% or less, or about flat. Fallston and Forest Hill led on the value side (+1.8% and +1.6%). Abingdon and Edgewood were about flat on Zillow even where sale medians moved more.

Fallston is a small sample. Redfin counted only 40 sales in three months. A couple of big or small homes can move that median a lot. Treat Fallston as a rough guide, not a hard rule.

How many homes sold, and how long did they take?

Redfin's counts for the three months ending September 2026:

Town (ZIP) Homes sold (3 months) vs. a year ago Median days on market vs. a year ago
Fallston (21047) 40 Up 42.1% 19 22 days faster
Bel Air (21015) 116 Up 4.7% 31 1 days longer
Forest Hill (21050) 61 Down 8.7% 31 10 days longer
Bel Air (21014) 125 Down 2.8% 22 9 days longer
Havre de Grace (21078) 100 Up 17.6% 41 1 days faster
Aberdeen (21001) 114 Up 3.8% 20 9 days longer
Abingdon (21009) 122 Up 6.4% 38 13 days longer
Edgewood (21040) 61 Up 17.7% 29 14 days longer

So more homes sold in most of these ZIP codes than a year ago. Bel Air 21014 and Forest Hill were the dips. But buyers took more time. Abingdon, Edgewood, Bel Air 21014 and Aberdeen all sat about one to two weeks longer than last year.

Countywide in September alone, Bright MLS counted 287 closed sales (up 9.1%), 215 pending sales (down 21.0%) and 747 active listings (up 28.4%). More listings and fewer new contracts usually means more room to deal.

What is the mortgage rate right now? 📈

Freddie Mac's survey put the average 30-year fixed rate at 7.18% as of Nov. 5, 2026. That's down from 7.24% the week before. A year ago it was 6.22%. The 15-year fixed averaged 6.57% (5.50% a year ago).

Freddie Mac posts a new number every Thursday at noon Eastern. Your rate depends on your credit, down payment and loan type, so get a real quote.

What would the monthly payment be in each ZIP?

Here's the math on each ZIP's Redfin median, with 20% down on a 30-year fixed loan. This is principal and interest only. Taxes, insurance and HOA fees are extra.

Town (ZIP) Price used At 7.18% (Nov. 5, 2026) At 6.22% (a year ago) Difference
Fallston (21047) $559,960 $3,035 $2,749 $286 more
Bel Air (21015) $474,860 $2,573 $2,332 $241 more
Forest Hill (21050) $467,863 $2,536 $2,297 $239 more
Bel Air (21014) $454,866 $2,465 $2,233 $232 more
Havre de Grace (21078) $418,872 $2,270 $2,057 $213 more
Aberdeen (21001) $367,892 $1,994 $1,806 $188 more
Abingdon (21009) $349,897 $1,896 $1,718 $178 more
Edgewood (21040) $271,920 $1,474 $1,335 $139 more

That's the real squeeze. Prices in most towns didn't jump much. The rate did. At 7.18%, every $10,000 on the price changes a buyer's payment by about $54 a month with 20% down.

What should buyers do with these numbers?

  1. Look at the ZIP, not just the county. Abingdon sale prices fell about 6.7% while Bel Air 21014 rose 6.3%.
  2. Use the extra time. Homes in most of these ZIP codes sat longer than last year. That can give you room to ask for repairs or help with closing costs.
  3. Get a payment quote at today's rate. Shop at least two lenders.
  4. Check the street, not just the ZIP. A ZIP median mixes townhomes, condos and single-family homes.

What should sellers do with these numbers?

  1. Price off your own ZIP and your own street. The county median won't fit every town.
  2. Plan for a longer wait in most spots. Abingdon and Edgewood each took about two weeks longer than a year ago.
  3. Remember who's buying. At 7.18%, buyers feel every bump in the list price.
  4. Get the house ready before you list. Clean, repaired and well-photographed homes still sell.

Bottom line 🏠

Harford County isn't one market. It's a bunch of small ones. Bel Air sale prices are up. Abingdon and Aberdeen are down a bit. Edgewood is up a little at a lower price point. Fallston sits at the top of the list but with few sales. Homes are taking longer to sell in most ZIP codes, and rates are still the main thing holding buyers back.
