Small Business Saturday is Saturday, Nov. 28, 2026. The easiest place to shop it in Harford County is downtown Bel Air. The Bel Air Downtown Alliance has it on its calendar as an all-day event on Main Street, Bond Street and the cross streets. That morning, you can also hit the Belle Aire Holiday Market and the Bel Air Farmers' Market Winter Market, both from 9 a.m. to noon.

Here is my simple plan for the day, plus where else to shop small in Harford.

What's happening on Small Business Saturday in Bel Air?

Three things, all within a short walk of each other. Confirm before you go.

The Downtown Alliance says shoppers will find men's and women's clothing, home decor, baked goods, candles, plants, pet items, records, comic books, running gear and more. Admission is free.

What's my plan for Small Business Saturday in Bel Air?

1. 9 a.m.: Start at the Farmers' Market on Bond Street. Every vendor grows, raises or makes what it sells, so it's a great spot for food gifts.
2. 10 a.m.: Walk over to the Belle Aire Holiday Market.

4. Lunch: Eat downtown and keep the money local. See my spotlight on Rocky's on Main.

Can't make it Nov. 28? The Belle Aire Holiday Market is also on Dec. 5, 12 and 19, 9 a.m. to noon. The Farmers' Market Winter Market is also open Dec. 12 and 19, 9 a.m. to noon. And the Bel Air Christkindl Markt is Dec. 5, noon to 6 p.m., per the Bel Air Farmers' Market.

Where else can I shop small in Harford County on Nov. 28?

• Havre de Grace: Downtown is packed with shops. My Havre de Grace holiday shopping guide covers Bomboy's Candy, Glyph Stationers and Joe's Mercantile. We haven't found a 2026 Small Business Saturday event from Havre de Grace yet, so check the Havre de Grace tourism site closer to the day.
• Aberdeen: Save your shopping trip for the next weekend. Aberdeen's 49th Annual Christmas Street Celebration is Saturday, Dec. 5, 2026, with a craft fair, breakfast with Santa, a parade and a tree lighting, per Aberdeen Main Street. Confirm before you go.

Every dollar you spend at a local shop helps keep that shop on Main Street. Those shops are a big reason people want to live here. Walkable downtowns like Bel Air and Havre de Grace are a big draw for families picking a town.
